Leaving the East (Left) Coast

We finally moved away from the east left coast and took another very very long drive.

When I was little I didn’t like long drives.  Mommy said I got “car sick”.  If she means the car made me feeling like throwing up, that was right.  Going back west though I didn’t get so sick.

It took a long time to get to our new home. We drove again for many days.

Sometimes we’d sing together or listen to stories on the way.

The journey isn’t so long when you’re with your best friend.

When we FINALLY got to our new house, kitty (MJ) and I ran all over. It was so pretty and new.  The movers put boxes EVERYWHERE.

Then mom said “do you want to go outside?” Of course I said yes! but mom didn’t put me on a leash.  She let me run out into the back yard for the very first time in my life – ALL BY MYSELF.

I HAD A BACKYARD!!!  My very own backyard.

I think that was one of the the very BEST days.  I’m so glad we have stayed in the house with my very own back yard since that day.  I can go outside whenever I want, I chat with the boys next door, and talk to the birds and Mr. Squirrel.  Now Benj Benj Benj loves the yard too.

Eventually mommy made the yard look very pretty with bushes and flowers and trees and our own little garden.  It is our favorite place.
