Team Transitions

Team Teddy & Benji

Mom says we are adjusting to our new home. It is different. It is flat, and it still smells new. The summer lasted a very very long time. In fact, it was hot for so long, most days we didn’t want to stay outside much.

Then, we got some trees and bushes in the back yard. Benji and I like it so much. The birds come, and there is a little shade, and of course it looks prettier than just an ugly fence. After the new trees came, it rained, and Benji discovered MUD baths. (First the mud, then the bath).

Now, the air seems much cooler and that feels SO good!

Mommy also found some new friends who stay with Benji and I when she is working, and so we are “settling in” as mommy says. We like our new friends! We call them our angels.

Benji has a two or three special spots where he keeps watch (he likes the cushions), and I have mine in view of that front door so I can guard everything happening.

Benji has also done of a lot of exploring in the new neighborhood. I would go exploring with mom and Benji, but I tire out pretty easily so mom makes me stay in. I hate that part. I wait by the door when they leave me alone.

Mom seems to be doing pretty good with the adjusting too, but I think she likes team work. Teddy and Benji and Mom, we’re a team. It’s the 3 musketeers all the way…

“The future is always all around us, waiting, in moments of transitions, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.”
